August 26, 2014 - The Valley Forge Region has learned that past Cadillac & LaSalle Club president Carl Steig of San Leandro, California passed away the morning of Monday, August 25. In addition to being a past president of the CLC, Carl was also the Club's Chief Judge for over 25 years before retiring last fall.
All CLC members are indebted to Carl for his selfless service to the CLC and the Cadillac hobby over the years. In the early 1970s, he was able to gain access to the Cadillac archives and did much research on the V-16 cars of the 1930s as well as extensive research on the 1941 Sixty Special models. Many of the books on Cadillacs that we have read contain statistical information that came, at least in part, from Carl's research.
The Valley Forge Region would like to send its sincere sympathy to Carl's wife, Ann, and to all of his family and friends. He will be sorely missed.
Tributes to Carl can be made and read on the CLC Message Forum by clicking here.

Congratulations to all of the winners! See the complete list of region winners here.
June 29, 2014 - It is with regret that the Valley Forge Region notes the passing of long-time Cadillac & La Salle Club member Henry Wexelblatt, better known to all of us as Craig. He passed away on 17 June 2014 in Morristown Memorial Hospital in Stroudsburg (PA) , apparently from complications arising from diabetes. He lived in that area all his life with his aunt, Carolyn (Ward) Seeger in Marshalls Creek, PA. He was graduated from Roxbury High School in 1983, and was most recently employed by ABM Security in Mt. Olive, PA. Craig was a member of the Upper Susquehanna and Valley Forge Regions of the Cadillac & La Salle Club, and was well known to many members, including incumbent president Lars Kneller. Craig's love of Cadillacs led him to show his cars at various events He also organized his own 5 Liter Chapter as President with contacts throughout the entire United States. He was a member of the A.A.C.A. and Professional Car Society.
According to the obituary in the Stroudsburg Pocono Record (20 June 2014), in lieu of Rowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice, or to the Cadillac & La Salle Club Museum and Research Center in his honor (per a suggestion by CLC colleague Walter Youshock). The obituary will be found on line here.
